On October 1st, the Huyin section of the Baotou-Yinchuan Railway, constructed with participation from CREC's subsidiaries, China Railway Sixth Group and China Railway Beijing Engineering Group, officially opened for operation. This marks the end of the era where Shizuishan, Ningxia, had no access to high-speed rail.
The Baotou-Yinchuan High-Speed Railway is a key part of China’s national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network, specifically the Beijing-Lanzhou Corridor. The railway is being built in sections, including the Inner Mongolia section and the Huyin section. The newly opened Huyin section spans 97 kilometers and includes four stations: Huinong South, Shizuishan, Shahu, and Yinchuan. Of these, Yinchuan Station is an existing station, while the others are newly constructed.
The opening of the Huiyin section will greatly enhance travel convenience for people along the route and promote high-quality development in the Yellow River Economic Belt. It also holds significant importance in supporting the implementation of the West China Development Strategy in the new era.
