Started in March 2005 and opened to traffic in October 2009, the project was designed as first grade urban main line with two-way four lanes. The span lengths of its main bridge and approach bridge are 300.502 meters and 434 meters, respectively.
Guangxi Nanning Bridge
The upper part of the main pier is an open asymmetric curved box girder, which overcame four technical difficulties, namely, mass concrete construction in main pier cap, concrete structure construction on the upper side of curved and inclined main bridge, system design of main bridge steel box arch lifter as well as cable crane, and linear control of curved main bridge steel box lifter. It won the Sichuan Tianfu Cup Gold Award and the Luban Prize for Construction Project in 2011.
