On September 1, CREC’s regional headquarters in Hungary was inaugurated in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Liu Bo, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary, joined Homolya Róbert, Chairman and CEO of Hungarian State Railways, and Nagy Attila Róbert, Chairman and CEO of Hungarian National Infrastructure Development Company, to attend the inauguration ceremony. This marked an important step for CREC to further explore the Hungarian market and tap the European market after winning the bid for building a railway connecting Hungary and Serbia.
Liu Bo expressed hope at the ceremony that CREC would continue to leverage its advantages in railroad construction, introduce the world’s most advanced technology and equipment to Hungary, promote local economic development, fulfill its social responsibility, and share the fruits of development with local community, so as to help the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative better align with Hungary’s “opening to the east” policy, promote high-quality development of China-Hungary economic and trade relations, and make new contributions to the advancement of China-Hungary relations.
When expanding its operation in Europe, CREC will, in accordance with the principle of internationalization and localization, take an active part in the economic construction of Hungary and neighboring countries, fulfill its social responsibility, and make due contributions to China-Hungary cooperation.
