The designed daily output of the waterworks is 1.1 million cubic meters, making it the largest single water plant in Asia. When it is completed, the waterworks will deliver higher-quality drinking water to residents in the eight neighboring communities, and mitigate the adverse influence of upstream salt tide on the drinking water in Dongguan, making it a project of great significance to water safety.
